This CD contains seventeen rags and three waltzes written for solo piano by John Partridge and performed by the composer. A composer of everything from opera to blues, Mr. Partridge regularly appears at ragtime festivals around the country. His "Ten Rag Miniatures" (featured on this CD) have become a favorite with piano teachers who use them to introduce their students to ragtime.

Mike Schmitz, host of "From Rags to Wishes" on KHDC-FM commented: "[the] CD is excellent! I think it's a solid addition to new ragtime and I've been listening to it a lot... [The Lake Superior Rag] sounds like something Liszt or Beethoven would attempt had they lived in the ragtime era.
