Christian salsero Alvaro Moreno was born into a musical family in the country of Nicaragua in Central Americahis grandfather was musically gifted and his mother was a singer and Alvaro was exposed to music at a very early age.The early 70"s were an intensevely volatile time in Alvaros home country his brother was killed and Alvaro was force to leave the commuinist regime of Sandinistas goverment.He lived in Mexico a few yearsand from there he made his way into the United States of America were he had relatives.Unfortunatly during his time in Nicaragua and Mexico Alvaro developed what would grow into a drug habit which dogged him for over 15 years.Alvaro was at his lowest when he heard the gospel message 13 years ago and now happily married with tw0 sonsAlvaro makes his home in Moreno Valley Californiaand has spend the last 9 years traveling across the United States,Mexico ,South America and Europe playing his brand of sanctifiedsalsa music.In 1998 his salsa album "PARA DIOS TODO ES POSIBLE"was nominated in Puerto Rico for album of the year at the prestigous TITO LARA awards.God has given Alvaro to ministerwith some of the best musicians in Puerto Rico and the United States he was also the lead singer for the well known L.A. salsa band "NEW CREATION"under piano virtuoso and producer Alberto Salas.
