Quatro is a recording of four musicians playing together live in the recording studio that delivers excellent musicianship capable of holding the interest of other musicians while avoiding excesses that can be annoying to non-musicians. The Disc takes the listener on a journey that begins with the relaxed "Tradewinds", a spicier ride than your average smooth jazz, moves into the rhythmically driving "Trip Hop" and "Funk For Greene", then veers into the acrobatic maneuvers of "Litmous Test" to arrive at the ambient spaciness of "When the Stars Threw Down Their Spears" and "Drone". The group negotiates these changes while maintaining a cohesive band sound that melds many styles into one. Acid Fusion blends together elements that can be found in bands like the Pat Metheny Group, King Crimson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Satriani, William Orbit, and Pink Floyd to create a tasty musical beverage that will satisfy your craving for melodic musical interplay.
