This CD is a must for jazz lovers and fans of vocal standards. A brilliant addition to any musical collection, Ms. DiPego is a true talent who honors the music with her passionate performances.

Christine DiPego was on the road, singing with a show group at age twenty-one. A Californian since four years old, she went on to a career as a performer in jazz clubs in the L.A. area as well as writing and singing jingles and recording with Frankie Valli.

Her other careers have included designing and manufacturing accessories and clothing as well as selling her own artworks in the Santa Ynez Valley where she now resides. Her move to Santa Ynez seven years ago brought her back to her music. There she met pianist/arranger, Ian Bernard, and they planned and produced this new CD titled, "Getting to Know You" with L.A. musicians Trey Henry, Barry Zweig and Richard Weller.

A crisp, jazz-oriented rendition of standards, with fresh arrangements and keyboard work by Bernard, "Getting to Know You" recently had the first of its debut concerts in California's central coast.

"What a fine piece of work.... I've heard some of these songs hundreds of times and yet Christine and her crew made them all new again, and the freshness and musicality of her singing was delightful to hear."

Reviewer: Will Jennings (three time Grammy Award-winning songwriter of "My Heart Will Go On", "Tears in Heaven", "Up Where We Belong", "Street Life" etc.)
