The Albert-Ankrum Project is an exciting contemporary jazz quintet, based in New Orleans, and led by trombonist Jeff Albert. The group performs original compositions as well as fresh versions of classic tunes from the jazz lexicon. The Albert-Ankrum Project (AAP) mixes a contemporary jazz aesthetic with the grit and groove of the Crescent City. During an AAP set you might go on a reggae trip to Jamaica, move your feet to a funky New Orleans groove, and swing like 52nd Street, but you can always expect great music.
