The Brooklyn Boogaloo Blowout features Chris Cheek (Paul Motian, Charlie Haden), Steve Walsh (Erasure, Tracy Bonham), Andrew Sherman (Mariah Carey), Tim Luntzel (Bright Eyes) and Tony Mason (the Brooklyn Boogaloo Blowout) playing '60s-style soul jazz and boogaloo. The CD features 3 originals and 8 classic covers including guest appearances by Richard Julian, EL MADMO, and my mom on tuba.
