Groove Genius brings a fresh blend of funk and hip-hop to a world crying for a new creative and innovative sound. His formula begins first and foremost with the groove, by incorporating live instruments with rugged beats, turntablism, and colorized soulful vocals laid down by singer, Sheri Martucci. Groove Genius' first release, Virtuoso, is a tribute to Italy's sounds of the old country. Mandolins and accordions are sprinkled on top of funky hip-hop beats, giving a fresh new sound to an exhausted and largely unoriginal music scene. Groove Genius is: producer and artist, Patrick Cicero. Originally from Rochester, NY, he now lives and operates out of Los Angeles, CA and runs his own label, Sicsense Records. Patrick meticulously lays down the foundation while his artists paint over his grooves and melodic soundscapes.
