Alex King Wright was born in Michigan City Indiana on January 15. Al Pissy was the youngest of four siblings born from parents who migrated from the rural areas of the south. Al Pissy says, "Growing up in Michigan City, was good, being that I was exposed to various parts of life. It was small enough to have homies on the west-side, and east side of town." For people who don't know Michigan City has a contrast of life. It is Home to the Indiana State prison and probably the most beautiful Beach in Indiana. Al Pissy represents both sides in his music, which is soulful and inspiring with a touch of being black and being real. Being raised in a apostolic church where his late grandma song some of the oldest church hymns. His grandmother poured soul into him at a very young age. In his debut Album "There's More Than Corn In Ghetto Indiana" the King pours out soul to let the masses. With songs such as One Day, You Got A Problem, This Life And This Game, and Ohh My Lord, Al Pissy brings the Midwest the form of story telling back to the game.
