Aslaam Mahdi began rapping in 1984 in Flint, MI. Countless performances and battles ended other rappers' careers. Always focused on lyricism and the elevation of the art form. Numerous guest appearences on other artists' albums including Welfed, Artfull Dodgers, Pak, and Jozi Whalez foreshadowed his potential. Aslaam Mahdi's debut album "THE BIBLIOGRAPHY" is set to drop in 2006 on Hungry Records/Long Range Distribution. The album is a masterpiece of ill rhymes and dope beats. He also has upcoming projects including The Kama Sutra Bros. album with Welfed, the Gozgod project, and the World of Ink with Mr. Slate. The All the Kings Men album is also in the works with his cousin Sahlid and Ishaaq Shaheed. Also stay tuned for his sophmore album "Plain Jackets" dropping in the future. Aslaam Mahdi is also well known for his incredible beat box skills.
