Acoustic Jazz Guitar hits #19 on NAR radio chart (January 2005)

Acoustic Guitar Jazz is a compilation of Artie Traum's guitar tracks recorded from 1992-2004. These are fully-produced tracks and include special guests Steve Swallow, Tony Levin, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, Tony Levin, The Band (Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko, Jim Wieder), Neal Wilkinson, Scott Petito, Cindy Cashdollar, Fred Hand and more. Some of these tracks hit #1 on the smooth jazz charts or won awards like the 2001 NAV Award. A bonus track "Hot Lunch" was recorded with Scott Petito and Sam Zucchini in 2004.

Acoustic Guitar Magazine wrote that "Artie Traum's work defines the vitality and sophistication of American acoustic music." Jazz Quarterly called him "a great player and writer."

Artie Traum has been featured on over 20 albums, from his early days with brother Happy Traum to the acoustic fusion for which he is known. He has produced or recorded with John Sebastian, Laurence Juber, Livingston Taylor, Richie Havens, Pete Seeger, David Grisman, Tony Levin, Pat Alger and Robbie Dupree. He is currently on tour and performing guitar clinics for Taylor Guitars. Donald Fagen wrote that Artie has "a natural, soulful touch" on guitar and Jazz Times calls his work "distinctive, absorbing."

Acoustic Jazz Guitar features styles from smooth jazz to bluesy turns to fingerstyle explorations. Currently charging up on the NAR radio charts and featured at www.smoothjazz.com, Acoustic Jazz Guitar is a high-energy look at Traum's recent recordings.
