One guy, one guitar. Honest acoustic folk punk from Bournemouth, England.
Influences include: Billy Bragg, Ani Difranco, Hamell On Trial, The Clash and New York Antifolk songwriter Joie/Dead Blonde Girlfriend.
Adam grew up listening to rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Pearl Jam. He played guitar in several local rock bands up until the age of 22 when his group at the time disbanded.
In November of 2002 Adam tested the waters of life without a band when he released a CD recorded on his trusty cassette 4 track. cunningly titled "4-track demos", the CD was primarily aimed at getting gigs, but was also given out to people via his website. People from as far a-field as Canada and America requested copies.
Many gigs follow... broken strings... new songs...
"Growing Up And Getting out" was released on 2nd January 2004. Again recorded by Adam, on his updated home studio set-up, it showcases a more confident performer, getting comfortable in the role of singer/songwriter.
A new CD is currently being recorded and many more gigs are planned. Join the e-mail list at adamboucher.com for updates.
