This is the re-mastered, re-rerelease of Wood's 1999 Wild In The Galiuros. His unique, "lyrical-prose" songwriting style was first developed on WITG. The follow-up album, Tacos and Bowling, received wide distribution and praise from many corners. From the Portland Indochine Songwriter: "I like Mr. Wood's songs. They make me think." Both albums were produced at HerbertHouse studio in collaboration with the iconic Greg Paul. Paul, a legend in the Portland music community, is known for his fanatical attention to detail and nuance. The listener is treated to normative, powerful, acoustic-based tracks with breaks into a couple of full on rock-blues thumpers. The highly political War Is A Weakness is followed by Rack Em Up, a JJ Cales-style bar-blues study. The anchor song, Oregon, has been described as the entire history of the state of Oregon in three minutes. In his typical oblique fashion, Wood states, "I hope my songs will encourage others to write. Everyone has songs in them, they just need to let them out."
