A personal offering and social commentary about life stripped bare, honest, without sentiment, "American Doll" features Andi's unforgettable, chilling and aching voice.

Though Andi seems to be picking up the pieces of a shattered past, there is resonance of hope in these eleven songs, and a profound longing for wholeness.

A nice balance of electric and acoustic guitar recorded in her living room for her master's thesis project, Andi's music has been described as haunting and edgy, or as one of her fans has put it, "[Andi has] a gift for putting a soft lens on some very ugly things, making it possible for us to look at them."

Two songs from the album, Drop Your Stone and Clouds, were chosen for Climb for Life, a documentary about a group of men and women living with HIV and hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro (the film continues to be shown at film festivals nationwide). Clouds was also featured on a local hair commercial airing on UPN (channel 13, Portland).
