Location: Seattle, Wa.
Born and raised in Boulder Colorado--graduated at Fairview High School. Hated high school to the max! Wanted to draw or play music instead of study. Went to college and thought I wanted to work with at-risk youth, but ended up driving a concrete mixer truck here in King County. So I truly am the "Mixer Man"---get it?....Mixer man...I drive a mixer and I mix music. (insert your chuckle here please)
Musical Philosophy: I am not concerned with typical song format structures. It comes out the way it comes out. I don't buy into the "music industry's" confining and controlling techniques of telling how songs must be formatted. This is done to monopolize the industry for their greedy wallets, and in doing so they keep artist's confined according to their manipulation. I say: "take a hike". (the preceding was my uneducated opinion and should in no wise be taken as the music industry's statement of faith) :]
You will notice that some songs have a jazz/fusion sound to them. That's cool, because that's what I wanted--didn't want to have every song be the same as the previous one and the one proceeding it.
Apart from Bill Bissell playing his 6-string on "New mellow song #7" Everything is performed by yours truly. My wife helped out on "Jo Werewolfe", "Fleeko Fleeko" and "Space MisHap" with the female voice tracks. And yes, that really is my dog barking and growling on "Jet". We named her Jet because we live here in Sea-Tac next the airport--seemed fitting.
My gear: Pro-tools/MacG3/Fender Bass/Yamaha Guitar/Reason Software/Roland Xp-30 keyboard/Mini-discman for field sounds and a head that's been hit too many times by the school of hard-freaking-knocks!!!!
