ROUGH, RUGGED, & RAW are three words that have been used very often to describe this duo of non-stop hard bangin' techno. "Brainprobe" consists of two very interesting producers, Jimmy Detoxx & Pablo Sequencial. They have been described by many as "Very professional and serious, yet funny as hell." But do not let their humorous side surprise you. Promoters are always amazed at how extremely efficient they are. They show up with all of their own equipment, set-up, perform, and leave. No complaining here! No big egos either! Just two men that are coming to do their job and they do it well.

Brainprobe's claim to fame is their promise to the audience of an entire 100% live show. Yes! 100% live, no pre-recorded music, no hard disk recorders, no dats. All live and all from scratch created on the fly rhythm and beats. They have also been highly commended on their choice of samples. Promoter bios have been incredible on describing The Probe, "The storming forces of
The Probe are set to bring the live act into the forefront of the rave culture." "Forget everything you know about trance." "Two guys, some raw gear, and a lot of heart make up this duo of techno enthusiasts! The mad scientists behind this amazingly raw no dat live act will take command of your auditory senses and turn you inside out!"

Surprisingly it was at raves that The Probe learned to master their art. Absolutely no practice sets at home. Just ask anyone who has seen them perform and they would all say it is very original. Being that they do not practice every set is a surprise to the crowd and especially to The Probe themselves. Brainprobe has been performing at raves since 1997 and they have paid their dues.

They have played all over for some of the best promoters and have played at shows along side the biggest names in the electronic industry. Nigel Richards, Donald Glaude, Cirrus, Sky Lab 2000, Feelgood, Denard Henry, Angel Alanis, Frankie Bones, etc.) and are showing no signs of ever letting up. On October 14, 2000 they even opened up the main floor for the "Moonshine over America Tour" in Massachusetts.

They recently have played on the MOBIUS radio show on WRTC fm 89.5 Hartford which the host "Anton Banks" commented, "By the end of the night it was clear that this was one of the best shows I've been involved with. Anyone interested in a really good energetic act without the hassle of dealing with any arrogant people should check these guys out." The Probe has even crossed the boundaries of technology by performing on the internet at www.radioboston.com.

After performing at Radio Boston on the "Full Circuits Show", the host of this show commented, "The Probe has created a style that is filled to the brim with primal energy, this live act pulls you into their raw, hypnotic bass groove and doesn't let you go." Eklipze Magazine, an internet magazine from California, has reviewed two of The Probe's sets and even taken on Jimmy Detoxx as a staff writer.

K:cid:X Tracks, The Probe's record label owned by Jimmy Detoxx, has gained major recognition. The label features two releases by The Probe. The "Energize EP" (KCX-001) was their first release. Its a compilation of four tracks that take your mind into four very different worlds.

The title song "Energize" starts you off with a very anthemy crowd sample and slams you with a non-stop winding road of acid frequencies. This song has gotten major feed back as a "crowd killer" for dj's. "So Dark", also bearing a hit sample, lays across a deep house track that will make you sweat. "Nitrous Gouge" and "Subconscious Mind" are brain food for someone who wishes to drift out of their mind, one containing dreamy female vocals, and the other a total puzzle of samples speaking to each other leaving you on cloud nine. "City of Drugs" is Brainprobe's second vinyl release and its a must hear!

An intense build up of mind blowing acid with a cosmic sample informing you that "All I see around me are victims...City of Drugs" This song has created a very strong Probe following. The recent release of a new cassette "Guest List Junkies" has left fans very pleased with another 100% live set. One fans review, "One thing I noticed that sets these guys apart is how they seamlessly flow from one idea to the next, introducing each element at a time until you notice the greater change." (Stephen Reed)

The new millenium has really been good to the PROBE. Wasted Management out of Atlanta have added the PROBE to there roster and the PROBE have also decided to storm the internet by becoming affiliated with many on-line music promotion companies. (MP3, Iuma, Audio Surge, Vitaminic, & Avantnoise (RATED #3 Download).

There guestbook on MP3 has become a who's who on fans from all over the world showing there support of the PROBE. They have been featured on Karmaloop for a contest to win there "City of Drugs 12inch". CAFEPRESS.COM an on-line clothing store have begun to carry exclusive PROBE gear.

In 2001 they have been asked to represent Elavibe Battle Gear and Beat Culture clothing. There music has just begun to be distributed to clubs and radio stations in South America & Costa Rica and to end 2001with a blast, they have been chosen the artist of the month at the LOVEPARADE (GERMANY) So who knows what ventures 2002 will bring the PROBE. Brainprobe is certainly a group to keep and ear out for BRAINPROBE
