aromat perform instrumental sounds between nu jazz and electronica.

inspired by electronic grooves and nu jazz, the zürich (switzerland) based musicians lukas marti (keyboards) and markus roth (bass) launched "aromat" in spring 2002. being jazz aficionados, their sound combines looped drum patterns, a vintage fretless bass and subtle ambient layers topped with jazzy, improvised tunes, preferably using fender rhodes piano.
