**Two very special young girls (ages 5 and 3) recently lost their father. All of the artist's profits from the sale of this album go to their education fund.
For far too long DJs have taken the backseat to MCs.
Sure there are the club DJs, but how much of the thumping 4/4 beat can one take?
With influences such as Sixtoo, Blockhead and Fingathing, DJ Formula takes the beats and attitude of laid back hip-hop, jazz and funk instrumentals and fortifies it with the musical background of decades of audiophile listenership and drumming in assorted bands to put forth an album that begs listening.
Sprinkled with vocal samples, jazzified loops, beats that demand that your foot taps and scratches that defy comprehension, DJ Formula takes instrumentals to a new level.
Vice was recorded while recording in the duo outfit, Revolution circa 1909, but the material was too much. The title is perfect as many cigarette and tons of caffeine were consumed during recording. One can almost see the haze as the jazzy hip-hop lounge atmosphere comes to life while the album plays.
