See the loverseat on the cover? Sit down, grab somebody tight, and listen up! It's the music that will make your grandmother cry.
A double EP collection consisted of two sets songs released in 2003. "Esophagus EP", released in May of 2003, is a nine-minute trip into a dark and hypnotizing realm. The album revolves around the same subject, the human esophagus, and represents the aspects of it with a claustrophobic wall of sound while retaining the notion of whim. Original songs include "Speech", in which an airy electronic sound accompanies the urgent muffled speech. "Not in Herre" is a cover of Nelly's 2002 hit single, except with its lyrics read with digital voice and backward. "All We Do" is an attempt to create the notion of twee by blending precise electronic instruments with real vocals.
"Ahcri Music" was released in March of 2003. Its concept is to create a diverse collection of soundtrack-style music that tells a story by itself. The song titles were named to lead the listens into a certain feel, but leaves them the freedom to interpret the relationship between the tracks. The first track, "Romance" creates a Gainsbourg-style feeling of yearning, while the second song, also known as "Romance", employs a fragile piano that tells a story of loss. Track 4 "Noir" is a two-minute urgent chase scene, and Track 9 "(Untitled)" imposes a sunny and tropical backdrop while the same type of atmosphere is still maintained. This music is sure to cling on your brain and cause a reaction - whatever it may be.
A quote from the review of Ahcri's last album (also a double-EP collection): "If back in the 80's Atari decided to create a video game adaptation of David Lynch's Eraserhead; this would be the soundtrack." - BrandXMedia.Org. A resounding comment from one of the few people who purchased the album said: "I almost went crazy and hit a car while listing to your music in my car."
