b.a.r.k. CD Breaks New Ground
[tid] a CD jammed with music spanning from evocative sound landscapes to explosive breakbeat,
all spiced with beautiful Nordic melody ideas, echoing back through time.
There are specifically pop tracks like "Tid" and speedy instrumental breakbeat cuts like "Harding."

CDSP001, released on the Sound Propulsion label on 23 February 2000
climbed to Number 18 on the European World Music Chart for March 2000.

b.a.r.k. cherry-picks from Scandinavian tradition and mixes in modern electronic sounds. Instruments like the mandore, Hardanger fiddle and jew's harp meet analogue drum machines and digital samplers -
and out comes digitalised Scandinavian folk music. The result is music that has never been heard before:
experimental, expressive and unpredictable - short-circuiting the distance between then and now,
where something new is gestated, guaranteed to expand your consciousness.
