Allie Stringer began her musical career in June of 2003 at age fourteen when she was invited to tour as a backup vocalist performing Sanskrit chants in yoga studios around the US with her uncle, Dave Stringer, and his kirtan band. A few months later, she moved from Wisconsin to Los Angeles to live and to attend the performing arts magnet program at Hollywood High School. While living in Hollywood, she studied African and Arabic drumming with Alex Spurkel as well as belly dancing with Anahata. In order to wean herself from a difficult combination of psychiatrist - prescribed pharmaceuticals she began practicing yoga with Saul David Raye. Songs such as Lucid Dreams and Dangle came into existence while dealing with this process. As Allie learned to engineer her own recordings, she sculpted her first record, Blinded. She recently completed a tour in 2004 encompassing Paris, London and Vancouver along with fifty-eight American cities. Allie performs regularly at Highland Grounds in Hollywood and The Unurban in Santa Monica.
