This is a secondary project I undertook and completed during spring break 2006, up here in the frozen North. I guess the album title has to do with my location.
I hadn't tried my earbones out on ambient music before this, so I thought I'd give it a try. With my limited technology @ home, this album took two computers blerping at each other to complete, routing an FX program through one computer's speakers into the other's mike port, which was running a recording program. I'm sure professional ambient artists have better ways of doing this.
The piano solos were improvised, and I will never again be able to play them as I did on the album, so enjoy! Also check out my main projects under the artist name "The Cardboard Connexion."
As a side note-- Several of the tracks have incredible bass sounds, more so than the average computer speakers can adequately represent. So a lot of the scratchy interference you might hear while listening to the samples is due to that.
