Originally from the small town of Wales, Massachusetts, Betsy began singing as a child with her operatic mother. As a teen, she was writing lyrics and performing with a blues band, and then moved to Boston where she played small venues while learning guitar.
The 90s brought Betsy to California, where she met and recorded under the name of Ebb with Scott Doherty. Their CD Heavy Dreams -produced by Pete Snell-has a haunting, angelic quality laced with strength and keen poetic observation, and was met with very solid reviews.
