This is my 3rd CD with CD Baby. I feel like I'm getting to be a regular on the program. By far this CD, is the best yet, and the most meaningful. "A Christmas Narrative In Song" is just what it implies. It is the telling of the Christmas Story, using verses from Scripture, and inserting the appropriate song. As an example, the opening verse for the first song is The Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and says, "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee." This leads into The Ave Maria. The Scripture verses are taken from the account of Luke except for the coming of the Magi, the Wise Men, which is taken from Matthew.
One of the other assets to this album is the fact that my daughter, Rosanne, performs with me on four of the songs. Her voice adds a great dimension to the album, especially on the songs that refer to Mary, the Mother of Jesus, the Mother of God.
The other plus or improvement on this album is the quality of the background music. I was able to use accomplished musicians for the various songs which added a whole new dimension to the overall production.
I believe this CD, because of it's practical application of the Christmas Story, which is a totally new concept of Christmas singing and song selection, is something that should be in every christian household. Actually, it is a Christmas Album that can be played and listened too not only at Christmas time, but throughout the year as a form of spiritual meditation.
I am very proud of this project and hope that all who hear it will be spiritualy inspired and moved.
