Tony who? Tony Andriacchi has heard that question more than any other. An - Dri - Ac - chi. Andriacchi. Even those who can't seem to remember his name are sure to remember the unique style of this vocalist whose repertoire spans the decades.
The Chicago Tribune declared him "One of Chicago's great vocal treasures," and "A remarkable singer," and The Chicago Sun-Times agreed he is "a gifted vocalist who deserves to be heard." Andriacchi has wowed Chicago's music scene with a wise and sultry voice that the Chicago Tribune described as "one of those rare instruments that are elegant and believable." Andriacchi also performed as opening act for recording artists such as Tony Bennett and the Harry James Orchestra. Tony Andriacchi brings to the microphone his unique interpretations to the classics of the great American songbook, touching an audience through the most beautiful songs ever written. "The lyric is the most important thing to me.....each song is a personal statement." And to hear him is to believe that the words are, indeed, his own intimate discoveries.
Along with longtime collaborator, pianist Peter Polzak, Andriacchi just completed recording a brand new CD titled, "OLD FRIENDS." The CD salutes the musical relationship and friendship between Andriacchi and Polzak which has lasted over 20 years.
