Charles Givings is no amateur to the music world. The founder and leader of Recording Artist's Group “Rare Gems," he has been on the music scene for over 30 years. A wonderful drummer and singer, he has sung demos and played for Motown Records, working with writer Marilyn McLeod and Producer Hal Davis.

He also studied under Master Arranger, Arthur G. Wright, learning sequencing, hard disk recording and arranging.

Along with his group Rare Gems, he had a hit album on Casablanca Records & Filmworks during the late 70's. The album went to #1 in 51 cities throughout the United States.

Songs For Serious Lover's is a collection of his favorite love songs that he sings in his own special way. Everything from “Ain't No Woman” to “Still Waters," to “If I Could Change The World” is contained in this soulful yet seductive CD.
