Alex Mendoza is a musician specializing in guitar, but he also sings and happens to play all of the instruments on his new album ,LOVE PAIN, with the exception of the song Closer To the Door which features Justin Smegelski playing the bass guitar.He was born and raised in south Texas and he fell in love with latin music very quickly, picking up details and combining them with his own music. He has taken combinations of music and made them a style unrecognizable by most. He has a degree in classical guitar and he studied jazz at the University of West Florida. With this he has a style that has the ability to be different from song to song. Jazz, rock, and classical truly stand out in this new sound he brings. He seems to be comfortable with all styles of music and is not confined to one. From slide guitar to rock, and back to easy listening, Alex Mendoza has no intention of sticking to one style.
