Derek David came to New York in 1971 to begin a singing career with the world famous Platters. He now bursts on the musical scene with uniqueness all his own.

When you listen to him sing, you are immediately aware of who contributed to his style; the immortal Jackie wilson, Cuban balladeer great Roberto Ledesma, salsa sensation Tito Nieves and a little Billy Eckstien for good measure.

Derek has fused American and Latin music into a hybrid style unique among singers. Once you listen to him, you'll never forget.
