New Creation was born out of the Maranatha Seventh-day Adventist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, more than 20 years ago. Its' distinguished voices represent a talented cross-section of the large Seventh-day Adventist community in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

New Creation enjoys an enduring reputation for choral excellence. The vocalists and musicians are wholly dedicated to the preservation, integrity, and faithful presentation of choral music. Central to the fine quality of work are the high musical standards. Every aspiring member must pass a rigorous audition before he or she is considered for the group. Those who make the grade are expected to maintain a high level of proficiency.

Instrumental to keeping the New Creation tradition strong and moving forward is Tony Thompson, the director. Mr. Thompson's passion for the music, attention to detail, and exceptional skill in conducting have made him an esteemed musical talent around Atlanta for more than 20 years. After a lifetime of devotion to the choral arts, he is now working towards a degree in that field at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama.

New Creation's arrangements and performances are revitalizing an interest in the 'arranged spiritual', one of the ensemble's specialties. The New Creation repertoire is about much more, however. Deft in an ever-expanding range of a cappella pieces--anthems, sacred songs, traditional and non-traditional spirituals, classical and contemporary compositions--New Creation continues to seek out songs that reflect the sensibilities of a broad spectrum of cultures and ethnicities. The New Creation sound is characterized by a refined sense of dynamics and the rare ability to project exhilarating power and mystical quiet in its music. The result is a spiritually uplifting musical environment in which audience and performers meet in heightened fellowship in the presence of our Creator.

New Creation has performed extensively for diverse audiences in Atlanta, the Southeast, and the Midwestern United States, at churches, colleges, and conventions. In September of 2001, New Creation appeared on the Three Angels Broadcasting Network's (3ABN) worldwide broadcast of the Southern Union Centennial Celebration. Since that time, New Creation has recorded for 3ABN and is heard regularly in that network's programming. The group has two official recordings, "Always Remember", released in February 2001 and "The Jericho Project", released on March 22, 2003.
