BELLE VOCI translated means "Beautiful Voices"

Five years ago three extraordinary women came together with the common goal to share their love of music with the general public. Coming from varied backgrounds, they have developed a style that is uniquely Belle Voci. Having produced over 30 concerts in the past 5 years, their harmony as as group is evident in their performances.

Karol Carroll, is the founder of Belle Voci. Her interest in the American Songbook goes back to her early childhood when she listened to the recordings of the big bands and legendary vocalists such as Lena Horne, Mel Torme and Vic Dimone. The variety shows of Barbra Streisand and Leslie Uggams further stimulated her imagination.

Her interpretations of the American Songs are sensitive to the texts. To the ballad she brings great warmth and emotion, and to the up-tempo pieces she can bring great sass. Reviewers have noted that "Karol Carroll, commands the stage" as she performs works by the Gershwins, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin.

Marta Ebel's earliest musical memory is of singing folksongs and listening to the Ozark fiddle of her Grandfather. Influenced by Hollywood musicals, her dream soon was to become another Shirley Jones or Julie Andrews. Loving all types of music she studied opera, performed at the Glendale Musical Theatre, and in coffee houses that were popular in LA. While Marta loves singing the music of Woody Guthrie and Richard Strauss it is her performances of Stephen Sondheim and Harold Arlen that the reviewers have praised for being "sensitive and full of finesse".

Kathyrn Southworth has too many credentials to list, Suffice it to say that her "beautiful voice" comes through her fingers onto the keyboard. While classically trained, she exhibits an uninhibited freedom in all genres including Broadway and Cabaret. Her sense of humor and easy interaction with the audience has charmed concert goers all over the East Coast.

The fact that Kathryn, lives and breathes every note that is played inspired one reviewer to write that "she leaves her audience spellbound".
