West Coast Slap?!! Whoa! What's this about, dancing or ice hockey?!!Ric and Fayth Kirk are Nashville based swing dancers and singer-songwriters. They have recently combined both interests into a fresh, dynamic sounding CD "West Coast Slap" which features all original west coast, east coast, latin, and two step songs done in their unique vocal style. These songs are part of a movie musical script, and they are a good fit for the dance floor, club, or home. The title cut is a take off on the west coast swing; others include "Baby Boomer Boom," a rollicking east coast 50's rocker that gives a nod to Elvis, Johnny B. Goode, and Wolfman Jack, etc. In addition to "West Coast Slap," the most dynamic tunes are "Rockin Guitar," which takes a trip all over the world, and "Dancing Fool," which unashamedly borrows from Chuck Berry. Latin dancers will love the very humorous "Life's a Cha Cha Cha," a song complete with a giant japaleno light and a matador.
All in all a very fun, energetic CD for dancing AND listening!
