this is the second album of 12 for 2006 recorded in february. i titled it "noose" originaly because the content fit a painting that i used as the cover. less that a month after the album was finished an old high school friend of mine had hung herself from her parents barn in my hometown. she had just been back after living in austin previously. when i listened back to this album after being affected by her death it just seemed so relevant and so i dedicate this to her memory.

it's abstract honkytonk, kinda like hank williams on a mushroom adventure.
