Bill Brunese was asleep on his lawn chair when we pulled into his driveway to ask him directions. Next thing we knew, we were in his house, enjoying a glass of milk, admiring the view. And what about all those guitars and amps he had?! And the strange gizmos and effects? "Well, wanna hear my tape?" Ah, sure Bill ...
He keeps his tapes over the TV. Dozens and dozens of cassettes, recorded in the wee hours. And featuring some of the wildest, prettiest country and yodelling music we ever heard. Bill is a true original, a humble and wonderful man, and rocking steady, at the age of 92.
We were amazed, felt blessed, and felt obliged. Obliged to get this out there to you, the listening public, to scoop up and enjoy. So here it is. Listen to the little radio spots he composed and narrated. Listen to the warbling Space Echo spinning and sprawling. Listen to the plain, honest, direct voice of a man you can trust. You'll want to play it for all your friends. You'll want to learn to live again. Click the boxes where they tell you and start your new life right. xoxo M.
