Alternate Roots started recording this CD back in February 2004, "Planted in Tradition" is our 4th CD as a band. Personel are: Scott Freeman on mandolin (2005 Wayne C. Henderson Mandolin Champion) and vocals; Katy Taylor on guitar and vocals; Steve Lewis on banjo/guitar (past Winfield-Walnut Valley Banjo Champion and MerleFest Guitar Champion) and vocals; Willard Gayheart on guitar and vocals; Randy Pasley on dobro (past Galax Fidders Conv. Dobro Champion) and vocals and Tony Testerman on bass.
