Under the guidance of their rodeo clown leader, Chris Gaffney, the Cold Hard Facts ricochet from blue-eyed soul to traditional country to hard-edged straight ahead rock. Fifteen years of playing in every honky-tonk from their home base in Southern California to the heart of Texas have given the band a sound that is tight as a bowstring but comfortable as your favorite blue jeans. Gaffney heads up the band on vocals, guitar and accordion. Danny Ott pitches in on lead guitar and vocals. Producer Wyman Reese appears on keyboards. Session man extraordinaire Doug Livingston is on steel guitar. Mike Barry on bass and vocals and Tucker Fleming on drums round out the ensemble.
This 2-disc set is a re-release of Gaffney's first recording, Road to Indio, packaged with a 70 minute set recorded live at The Swallows Inn in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
