Given Name: Bradley Joseph Otts

Born in TX, Brad fell into music at an early age singing and by his mid teens he was guitar, slide guitar and piano regularly. He found his nitch in songwriting and creating unique and creative melody's that set the stage for this music.

In his early years he was turned on to listening to the likes of Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Emmy Lou Harris with his Grandfather. He became enveloped in songwriters, listening to Tom Waits, Kelly Joe Phelps, Leonard Cohen, The Beatles and Dylan, while playing guitar, harmonica, piano, lab steel, and banjo. His musical interests expanded to such diversified music as anything from Miles Davis, Iron and Wine, Ida, Mississippi John Hurt, and The Beach Boys.

After a few years in college and even more time writing songs and playing shows, Brad has gained a loyal and diverse following of listeners. Upon making his demo, "The Eastern Front Sessions", his songwriting gained the attention of acclaimed Austin producers, songwriters, musicians, John Harvey, George Reiff, "Scrappy" Jud Newcomb, and Jon Dee Graham through a mutual friend.

With an all-star cast of acclaimed Austin musicians including, Mark Patterson-drums/percussion (Robert Earl Keen), George Reiff-bass/Vox (Chris Robinson, Bob Schneider, Patty Griffin), "Scrappy" Jud Newcomb-guitars/vox (Bob Schneider, The Resentments, Stephen Bruton), Bukka Allen - Piano, Hammond B3, Keyboards, Accordion, Wurlitzer,etc. (The BoDeans, Jack Ingram, Ian Moore), Brian Standefer- cello (Patty Griffin, Alejandro Escovedo, Tom Waits), Paul Brainard- Pedal Steel and Trumpet (The Decemberists, M Ward, etc.), & Seela-harmony Vox, Brad released his highly anticipated Independent Debut album, "you=YOU" in the Spring of 2004.

Wowing listeners and critics alike, Brad moved to the Lower East Side of Manhattan playing shows all over the New York City area. After marrying his soul mate and moving to Brooklyn for a stint, Brad and his wife now reside in Southwest Austin, TX where he plays music and works. He is currently working with mulitple projects and is looking to go back into the studio in the next year.
