Biography

I'm 15 years old and a Sophomore at local High School. I started singing at the age of two with a little microphone hooked up to a tape player. I started getting serious about my music and singing on my 13th birthday, as soon as I grab a microphone it's hard for to put it down because that's what I always wanted to do. I sing for fun, every time I get in front of people and I sing I have fun, yes always a little nervous but when I see the smiles on their face that's all I want out of the whole world.
At age thirteen I traveled to Houston, Texas and entered the singer/songwriters talent showcase, and got 2nd place. It was a lot of fun, I got to meet a lot of nice people. I also recorded my first CD called "Ashleigh", with a lot of LeAnn Rimes songs on it since she is my favorite singer. I started singing at local restaurants which I still attend and have a whole lot of fun. I entered my school talent show and sung "Cowboy's Sweetheart", and once they heard me they put me in the 8th grade assembly. It was really neat singing in front of all my friends and teachers.
At age fourteen I recorded my second CD called "Ashleigh Marie", I had a blast. I also entered a local talent show, and won 1st place. Me and two of my friends built a group called "Rhythm Connection". We perform at local fairs, and celebrations. I also got my first guitar, and started taking guitar lessons at my school. I wrote my first song in three weeks, but it took me a while to play it in front of anyone. I traveled to Tennessee and competed in the Loretta Lynn's talent search and placed 5th. While in Tennessee I got to go into Sony Records and played my original song for a producer. I met some great songwriters, who I thank for there help. I also recorded Pasty Cline's "Crazy" at the Ryman Auditorium, and everybody got to watch you through a window it was really cool. Going to Tennessee was the best trip I have ever taken in my life, and the funnest one too.
Now at age 15 I just recently finished my 3rd Cd of all original songs. I am playing at open mics, and singing at restaurants. I'm mainly focusing singing and playing my guitar and writing songs, because it's what I love to do!
