This CD was recorded analog reel to reel (Revox) and performed on a Wurlitzer BB, made circa 1920. It includes works by harpists who were composers as well. Bach preludes from The Well Tempered Clavier, Couperin's "Mysterious Barricades", Debussy's "Ballade" and David Raskin's "Laura" are my own transcriptions. Your arrangements on the Harp Solos CD are beautiful. Of all the "sounds" of the recordings, I liked "Laura" the best of all.
The bass strings on the harp sound fantastic, and the acoustic is just right, the perfect blend of direct with reverberant sound. A very nice acoustic which doesn't blurr or muddy up the sound, but beautifully enhances it.
The stereo sound field is also opened up and natural.
