"Among Friends" is Don Gabbert's second CD. It contains fourteen songs that are all special to Don. A collection of Modern folk music produced with a respect for tradition. Produced by Don's youngest son, Lowell, the tunes reach into the past and stretch toward the future. Whether it is the lovely original song, "Do I Know you Lassie" or the haunting rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" these songs are performed with a depth of feeling that has become the hallmark of Don's performances. Even the happy tunes like "The Old Piper" and "Patrick Was A Gentleman" convey the genuine excitement that was generated during the recording session. This is a CD created among friends and we hope that it will be heard by friends new and old everywhere.
