Roaring straight out of the heart of central Pennsylvania comes a band whose sound will blister the paint off the walls, and then tear them down for an encore. Brandishing the blues like a sword, and rock and roll like a shield, their music cuts at the heart of every issue it touches on. Anthony Stauffer and Holy Smoke is not your ordinary blues band, and it's not your ordinary Christian rock band either. With feet firmly planted in 12 bar blues, their music draws upon the sounds of many other styles. The result is a musical concoction that is as unique as it is powerful.

Anthony Stauffer and Holy Smoke is a Christian band that believes that a good message is not a substitute for good quality. In the blues genre, where the image of authenticity is often valued more than the music, this band focuses on musical excellence, not image. And in the world of Christian rock where imitation is often valued more than originality, this band strives to be the standard, not an alternative.

What really sets this band apart however is not simply its music, but the message behind the music. Not satisfied to simply be entertainers, their music is spiritually challenging, while not preachy. Their message does not stand as a barrier to their music however. The music stands on its own, making room for a message that is down to earth, and surprisingly easy to relate to.
