What do you get when you feed a young child a steady diet of classic rock and roots music, plant him in a house full of musician friends and family and put a guitar in his hands at age 9? Sprinkle some Stevie Ray Vaughan at age 11. Throw in a generous helping of natural talent from his singer-songwriter-guitarist mom and water with an inspiring teacher and you could end up with Andrew Goldring. Like his prodigy predecessors, Joe Bonamassa, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and even a young SRV, Andrew is quickly establishing himself as a master of the Stratocaster. At the ripe age of 14, he’s earned the respect of local musicians and developed his songwriting and vocal skills enough to record a CD of classic and original blues, along with a little rock and jazz. This self-titled debut features Andrew’s blistering guitar chops and some amazing songwriting for such a youngster.

Andrew’s been garnering enough attention to appear on Salt Lake City's KSL TV Daybreak early morning news program and on the UtahBlues.com podcast. Often greeted with slack jaws and questions like “How old are you?,” Andrew takes his role as a guitar slinger in stride. He holds down vocals and lead guitar and wows sold-out crowds with his blues-rock power trio, The Rosedale Power Company. Andrew is slated to open for legendary blues guitarist Johnny Winter, Walter Trout and Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials at the prestigious Snowbird Rock & Blues Festival.

Wielding acoustic and electric axes with equal dexterity,Andrew is well-versed in the blues from The Delta to Memphis to Chicago and classic rock from Hendrix to Cream to The James Gang. His songs take inspiration from Bluesbreakers-era Clapton and Joe Walsh, yet he gives a nod to jazz standards from the 1930’s. Andrew’s musical heroes include Miles Davis, fusion bassist Jaco Pastorius and Gypsy Jazz guitarists Django Reinhardt and Birelli Lagrene, along with blues-rock phenomenon Joe Bonamassa.

Backed by a rock-solid rhythm section of Eric Lindquist (bass) and Wes Whorton (drums), Andrew Goldring & The Rosedale Power Co. will bring their live show to barbecue joints and festivals near you.
