Al Caldwell and the Travelin Black Hillbilly's are the new band on the block.
They play multiple instruments and Al's main instruments are Banjo and the 9 string bass. The banjo came from Africa. It's been almost 100 years since an African -American has been featured as a banjo player in today's modern music. The "Hillbilly Soul CD consist of 14 tracks of feel good music. The bands music is fun to listen to and it takes you on a musical journey. With songs like "Bad Luck", you can almost see the party. You can also check out the web site for up and coming tour events. Al Caldwell also tours with different bands. He's currently recording and touring with Vanessa Williams. He's been performing with her for the last 7 years. Al Caldwell is also a bass instructor and has a bass web site at www.9stringbass.com. You can also check on the Travelin Black Hillbilly's at www.tbhillbilly.com. This cd has some nice lead guitar solo's from Beau Shelby. Also (Show me a sign ) is Al's first attemp at putting distortion on his banjo. Al play's Deering and Nechville banjo's.
