Bird Dog Bobby began playing guitar in 1967. He traveled extensively throughout the U.S. during the 70's and 80's, and relocated to Florida from Kansas City in 1989.
He formed the Honey Hounds in 1992, and with them, opened shows for Koko Taylor, John Mayall, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Delbert McClinton, Gatemouth Brown, Ronnie Earl, Albert Collins and others.
He released his first self-produced recording "Jumped the Fence and Gone!" in 1994, and was awarded "Best R&B Act in Tampa Bay" two years consecutive by the area's major weekly music magazine. Bird Dog Bobby next conceived and produced the 1996 CD "I Ain't No Pedigree", receiving positive reviews throughout the South. In 2000 Bird Dog released his second CD "WOOF" which contains 11 original compositions and 3 classic cover tunes. This CD is comprised of Bird Dog's favorite combination of instruments, Guitar, Bass and Drums! Bird Dog Bobby is known for his "Blues Funkiness" and his Guitar Tone...you won't be disappointed if you like Hot Blues Guitar!
Bird Dog Bobby has recently gone back into the recording studio where he is laying down tracks for his next CD. His fiery guitar style, smooth vocals and confident stage presence reflect the many years spent in the entertainment industry. You can catch him performing live at many of Central Florida's top Blues Venues including Orlando's House of Blues and Tampa's famous Skipper's Smokehouse.
