Driving rhythms with an artist who's style runs the gamut from jazz and blues to funk and pure Gospel.
Sonya shows that hers is a gift of not only song and voice, but also versatility in all things that comes straight from God the Father.
Sonya Kaye is an international artist with performances in Paris and London.
She and her band performed during the Olympics in Sydney, Australia in September, 2000.
Sonya Kaye has participated in a number of local community events as well. Among many other appearances, they include 3 performances of the National Anthem for Seattle Supersonics games, community Christmas tree lightings, and music for city parks events.
She has also performed along with internationally recognized jazz greats, Jonathan Butler and Brian Bromberg at Seattle's popular Jazz Alley. Most recently, Sonya Kaye double-billed along side Myrrh recording artists, "ANOINTED" on August 23rd, 2000 at Warm Beach, Wa. In addition, Sonya and the band were the musical guests for speaker Dr.Tony Evans of "The Urban Alternative" in Federal Way, Wa.
Sonya's bass player and producer, Marc Miller, has also played along side several well-known artists including Jonathan Butler, Anita Baker and many more. You can hear Marc on Philip Bailey's CD latest release, "Dreams".
Keyboardist, Eric Verlinde ARRANGED ALL OF THE MUSIC FOR "THROUGH YOUR EYES". Verlinde played in the opening jazz quartet for the incomparable Natalie Cole this past summer. Also, Eric took top honors in piano at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival at the University of Idaho this past May 2000.
Dave Del Zotto, Sonya's drummer, has played for the talented Diane Schuur, Stephen Michael Newby, Extensions and also jazz artist Don Lanphere.
Among other talented artists, Sonya's guitar player, *Art Bromage, has played for the popular Christian producer, Stan Endicott.
